HEARTHSTONE

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 was the first GamePros Hearthstone Fireside Gathering at the Brikke Oave in Brunssum. There was room for the participants in the lobby, while visitors could check out the VR headset or one of our Xbox One Consoles.

There were 8 registrations in total for the tournament. To keep everyone playing, the tournament was in Swiss format. This means that every player is paired up against someone based on their score. For example if a player lost the first two rounds, he will play against an other player who also lost the first two rounds. This way everyone has a chance to win once, and the top players will reveal themselves quick. It didn’t took long to see which players would take part in the finals.

Alongside the Hearthstone tournament there was a lot more to do on this Fireside Gathering. The VR Experience was popular and there were many visitors and participants that experienced high grade Virtual Reality for the first time.

After three rounds in Swiss format, it was clear that Mcmkiller would be paired up against GamePros own Fulke in the final. After a nerve-wrecking first match Juulke scored 1-0. But that would be it. Mcmkiller won the next of the round. With these wins Mcmkiller became the first Victor of the GamePros Fireside Gathering tournament and took home the Battle.net gift certificate worth 20 euro.

We are allowed to call this a successful event where everybody can look back on with pleasure. We would like the thank all volunteers for their effort and we hope to see everyone at our next event!
